  • General Function

    This position is responsible for managing the sales operation functions and administration for Sperry Top-Sider, Hush Puppies and Keds in Canada. The most critical role is ensuring superior communication of all relevant data to the sales team. This will require extensive interaction with all departments across the Brands. In addition, this position supports the sales effort by managing the sales sample process, event planning and by providing administrative support as needed. The Sales Operations Specialist may also co-ordinate POP and marketing support, as needed.

    Primary Duties

    • Establish and maintain an effective and consistent communication channel with the sales team

    • Coordinate the communication process between all departments in order to provide clear and concise direction

    • Act as a liaison between the external sales team and all internal departments

    • Coordinate the administrative needs of the sales team

    • Reporting Requirements: 

              -  ATP, Ship and Open reports sent to teams on Monday

    • Line List Maintenance

                  - Establish seasonal line lists for each brand after each seasonal adoption meeting

                  - Ensure pricing is current and accurate

                  - Establish a Product Log on the shared drive

                  - Update Log and communicate product drops to sales teams

                  - Update Log and communicate product changes to the sales team

                  - Ensure that catalogues are ordered by brand and shipped to appropriate sales team  members

    • Process new account openings

    -   Ensure information submitted by sales team is complete and accurate

    -   Ensure opening order is entered

    -   Process co-op credits

    -   Process invoices from vendors

    • Maintain the showrooms and storage areas
      • Remove drops from showroom, ensure back rooms are clean
      • Clean the cage to make way for new POP and SWAG items
    • Effectively manage and maintain: POP materials, line sheets (and Sell-Thru information) on a consistent basis
      • Maintain inventory of POP materials and SWAG items by using brand ordering websites
      • Maintain line sheet highlighting pricing, material name and number, colour, country of origin, and drops
    • Provide (both ownership and) execution to the sales sample process
      • Track shipments of sales samples, ensure all ordered samples have been delivered
      • Order any late adds and ensure delivery
    • Plan and coordinate sales meetings as require
      • Print and distribute meeting agenda created by Brand Leader
      • Create sales binders for the sales reps
    • Manage the marketing budget
      • Track marketing spend on shared budget/tracker on the shared drive
      • Finance responsible for developing tracker after budgets are set
    • Support Trade Show requirements
      • Book booth space, electrical and furniture
      • Order season graphics for booth
      • Ensure samples and catalogues are available
    • Support the Sales Planning team as required
    • Ad hoc requests

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • 3+ years experience in sales or retail stores
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Detailed oriented
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications

       

      WORKING CONDITIONS

      Minimal travel required including domestic and international
